Get on the Bus to Springfield

Lobby Day is coming up on Wednesday, April 9. Local 73 is providing buses are free and leave from two convenient Chicago-area locations. All buses load at 5:30 am and depart at 6:00am sharp. A complimentary lunch will be served in Springfield. Buses return to chicago in the late afternoon the smae day, April 9. Free parking is available at  Malcolm X location. 

U of I Hospital  1740 W Taylor (parking on Wood St.)

The Hillside bus has been canceled. Please make the necessary plans to ride another bus.

Malcolm X College 1900 W Van Buren Jackson St. entrance (park in lot on N. side of Jackson)

Our 2008 legislative targets include: increased funding for higher education, pension justice (Supporting HB 1702) for workers who have dangerous jobs, and the Public Service Accountability Act (Supporting HB 4724), which protects public interest when state agencies propose to contract out services.
